Ergo is a resilient Proof-of-Work blockchain for contractual money. It combines Bitcoin-style UTXO accounting with expressive smart contracts through ErgoScript, Sigma Protocols, native tokens, Storage Rent and NiPoPoWs.

## Agent Economy on Ergo

The site describes an emerging agent-economy direction: autonomous software needs agreements, payment authorization, work verification, settlement records and spending policy. Ergo is presented as the first programmable settlement rail for this work because eUTXO, ErgoScript, native tokens and Babel-fee-style fee abstraction fit deterministic agent settlement.
